Can I use two linux kernels at same time ?
I have mandrake 10.1 with kernel 2.6.** and I want to use this with some older kernel to do some rtl programming. Can I have two kernel, sothat I could be able to boot in either of two from lilo.
- You may even install different kernels in the same partition / Linux installation. The boot menu will do the rest. Quite long story to tell you here but try to get more information on Kernel compilation and boot loader configuration. You could start at /usr/src/linux/Documentation
- Yes you can!
You will have to install both the versions on different partitions and at boot time choose the one that you want to work with.
