I have a simple problem with fedora.

1. acutally I m really new to linux world so plz b descriptiv to tell me how t solve prob ok,
2. This is a common problem with ATi cards and without knowing more about the card, I will have to take a shot in the dark.

3. if you are at a login prompt login as root (one time) and then type the startx command. If that does not work then linux can not handle your video card. If you installed linux in graphical mode then yes it can handle your card.

   Fedora core 6 = redhat 15 so redhat 9 is old.

   Never buy another linux they are free.

4. I have ati radeon as my vga card and ppl say there is something related to my vga card and they said go to runlevel 3 and fix it like this and that but I have no idea what they saying
5. so plz if anyone can help
6. I installed fedora and then after first boot config my screen goes black all black and I cant do anything.
