How do I play mp3 files on linux?, im using fedora core 6?

XMMS (the X Multimedia System)
I don't know the layout of FC's menus, but I'm assuming you can click the application menu and go to ?programs? then ?multimedia? and it'll be xmms
or just run the command xmms
I'm sure there are others on there like amarok, xine, mplayer, but xmms is the absolute best, it's a clone of winamp
