Which is a better Linux distro, Ubuntu or Fedora?
- Fedora is probably the best supported distro out there, and you're more likely to find drivers, etc. for it.
- I like Fedora, just beacuse you can use the Red Hat updates and rpm files. Gives you more freedom in apps.
- It really depends on what you're trying to accomplish. I've used both and found both to be pretty user friendly, but if you're looking for something even more user-friendly then I would recommend giving SuSE a try. This is the most similar to a Windows environment that I've seen. I would also suggest not limiting yourself as most of the Linux distros out there are freely available, try as many as you like and pick the one that works best for you!
- Fedora Core 4 - magic!
- After trying both myself I like Fedora better because I have too hard of a time with drivers in Ubuntu.Ubuntu makes a live CD, just burn it to try it out and see how you like it.
- Depends on what you are looking for.
I prefer Ubuntu. - Fedora Core 4 is great :).
Note:
I did not use Ubuntu, and therefor can not compare the 2 distros. - Fedora 100%
