Wireless problem with Linux?

I have been using Ubuntu and Fedora Linux. I am using a wireless network to access the internet when Im running Windows. Does anyone know how to connect to a Wi-Fi Network on Ubuntu?

  1. haha um lets see….its a process but works very well once its implement it.

First you need linux based drivers for your wireless card.

You need to configure the hardware.

Then, if you have to use something like ndiswrapper, you have to set the service to initialize on start up

Then you have to configure WPA protection if you have it on the network.

In general…its too broad of a question to answer without the hardware specs.
