Are there bugs in linux unix operating system?
I just heared that there are no bugs in linux unix OS.is it true?
- No, that's not true! There are bugs in all distributions of linux just like any other operating system or large piece of software. However, in my experience with linux (Mandrake, Debian and Suse distributions), your computer doesn't crash nearly as much as when you use windows and, of course, it's all free!
- No this is not true. Human beings still write the code, therefore, errors still happen.
- There are bugs in any OS. Because they not reported just means that they haven't been found yet. Linux is very stable, more so than Windows. Linux is not attacked as Windows OSs are. Once an exploit is found in Linux, it is addresses with a patch just as with Windows. You can leave a Linux machine running for months between reboots. Try that with a Windows machine.
- Is there bugs in a forest? There is even bugs in VxWorks, an Operating system used in Nuclear Power plants and Medical equipment. Feel safe now? Though operating systems made for reliability have much fewer bugs. Unix and Linux servers usually go alot longer without needed to be rebooted than Windows servers.
- there are bugs in all the os including xp and vista
