   It is still an OS that can be vulnerable to certain types of attacks.

   The vast majority of attacks out there today are specifically targetting Windows system because they have been shown to be full of security holes that are pretty easy to breach.

   Linux systems are not as popular but still vulnerable to the same types of attacks. Its just that the hackers and virus writers arent targetting them. Yet.
