Due to the mutliple problems with Windows XP, I am installing Linux OS. New hard drive. I do not have a floppy boot disk. Getting error message "Operating system not found"… Duh!!

1. And this one..
2. Primary Hard disk drive 1 not found. Bios does indicate that harddrive is there.
3. Computer is a Dell Dimension 8200 desktop. 1.8GHz Pentium 4
4. I have an Alinux install DVD-r.iso. Its not recognizing it.
5. You need to boot with a Linux install CD. Try Ubuntu Linux. www.ubuntu.com
6. I dont know how to get to a command prompt of some sort, Im beginning to think I need a boot disk of some sort.
