Is it better to do a dual-boot, or run a virtualized Linux and Windows® operating system simultaneously?
im using Mandriva Linux and Windows XP
- I have linux and running windows inside it
- If you want speed, dual boot, if you wanna be a n00b and use both at the same time…probably only actually putting use to 1 OS, virtualize it
- I prefer virtualization.
- I don't think it is possible, let alone advisable. It is not wise to test the limit of a PC this way. How I know? Well, it takes about 3 hours to restore a PC to factory default to fix some problems… and I have done it 22 times to date in just … 30 days… Forget about Microsoft and the PC seller, they don't care.
- Better for what? For speed, dual boot, for ease-of-use virtualisation. Its also great to run Windows inside Linux as when Windows goes wrong its easy to restart.
