What are the functions of Linux operating system?

  1. Linux is a version of UNIX that is available without change over the Internet and is increasingly being used with PCs, servers, mainframes, and supercomputers. Linus Torvalds developed it when he was a student at the University of Helsinki in Finland. Linux has grown from an operating system to a widely accepted operating system. Linux is a graphical user interface.

    One popular OS is windows. In knowledgeble circle Unix is a preferred OS. Linux is another OS, it is a variant of Unix.

    It is one of the most powerful, reliable and rich operaing system available today.
