How can 2 people update one Outlook Calendar without Exchange Server?
I use Outlook 2003 on WinXP. My girlfriend uses the same. We both share a computer using our own, unique usernames (and hence have our own accounts).
- How can my girlfriend update my Outlook calendar for me without me letting her log into my account? I have looked for solutions for weeks with no success. I am happy to install anything on WinXP or on a linux server to make this work, but other than installing Exchange or some odd commercial offerings, I cannot see a simple way to do this.
- Thank you for any suggestions!
- Is this possible? If so, how? My first guess was plugins to read/write iCal format calendars from my Outlook client, and providing my girlfriend with a web interface to the same iCal client, but I cannot see a way to make this transparently work with Outlook.
- Finally, I can't use a different client instead of Outlook (which would be the simplest option); I need all my appoitments in Outlook as I sync Outlook information with my phone.
- These might do what you're after:
