I want to use my laptop which has a VGA input to physically connect to a server and view the screen. This is a linux server.
- You would need some sort of video in card that supports digital video..
I personally cant think of any off the top of my head, but if your thinking that you can just plug a couple cables in, it isnt going to work sadly.
It would be really nice to use a laptop as a terminal, but to me the cons outweigh the pros.
- something like vmware would do it.. you connect the network to each pc. or have a seperate network card..
are you sure its a vga input? not an output?
if so , just split the signal in 2 using a cable.
but the vmware solution would be better as you can actually change settings via the laptop.
