How to work in Linux console frm windows?

Hint: Use Linux NIS server I.e files should be resided in Linux server. Should use ADS(Active Directory Services).

  1. If "Yes" how to configure ADS to look for Linux server.
  2. I don't undersdand your question.

If you simply want to know how to get a Linux Terminal session from windows, you could:
Configure a Serial Port on your linux server, connect a windows laptop to it and use Hyperterminal.
    or
Install openssh on your Linux server, and use PuTTY http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtat… to connect from your windows Machine.

If you are asking how to get a linux box to authenticate via active directory, you could use SAMBA and this how-to http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-373… or you could set up Services For Unix on your Windows Domain controller.
