What is the difference between linux web hosting and windows web hosting?
hi iam rohit
- Aside from the OS used is different, both system sport a different tools and scripting languages used.
The million-dollar question is what application are you looking to use for your hosting? Consider the tools and scripting languages you plan to use – if you use PHP, Perl or MySQL, Linux is the way forward. If apps are Microsoft-specific ,eg. ASP, ASP.NET, ODBC, MS Access & MSSQL Databases, then Windows is what you need.
But in terms of stability, Linux is still the best bet.
- it is the server you are hosting is running on linux os then it is linux hosting. if it is running on windows os then it is widows hosting.
- Linux hosting is for computers running linux based Operating systems and windows for windows operating systems.
- Webhosting site somewhere….forget liao
- - the application supported
- price
