Whats the difference between hosting on a linux server or a windows server?
- Using a linux server you get all the software for free, while with a windows server you need to purchase licenses.
Linux is more efficient with the same hardware
-> you get much more bang for the buck using linux

- using linux or windows….. Windows is a fantastic tool, which is now prone to problems, because it is so widely used. Linux is said to be safer, because less people use it, meaning less hackers, etc….
- linux is way over on the gnarly side of the geekometer, dude
- these are 2 different servers both have there advantages but the way to see it is as from a security perspective Linux is more secure and is not prone to crashes like windows
- In addition to john n's answer, I might add that there are tons of viruses for "Windows", but very few viruses for "Linux".
