Achieve- genecare program setting up hplaserjet ipaddress printing?

how can I set up a hp laserjet to work on a novell server for the genecare dos program with an ip address?

not sure about Novell but there has to be some kind of "active directory" where you can set the DHCP settings for the environment…the printer should have a static IP address so it can be linked to other computers on a permanent basis
