Can Solaris 10 be used as the main opertaing system in home desktops.?

Can Solaris 10 be used as the main opertaing system in home desktops. I understand its unix based so as long as I have unix/linux software and drivers and programs, should it work? or is it really just for networks and workstatiosn like novell?

Yes it can be used on home desktop's provided it is the x86 release.
