Does novell netware give others access?

my office uses novell and I have to install on my laptop…does it give full access to others to view/move/edit data or file on my laptop?…if yes how can I prevent this without uninstalling novel netware?

  1. I'm using zone alarm also..is it any use?
  2. Your network admin ALWAYS has access to your machine and you can't block that.

If you uninstalled the Netware Client, you'd not have access to anything on the network. If your desktop is locked down you won't be able to uninstall it anyway.

If you want to keep your job, I'd strongly suggest that you stop trying to "hack" your machine and get back to work. Violating your companies security policies (such as by installing Zone Alarm) is a good way to get a quick trip to the unemployment line without being able to collect (terminated for cause).
