How can I get past a usb block?
my computer instructor blocked use to the usb ports….I have discovered that it is "mass storage devices" that are blocked, because I can use my camera on it…is there anyway I can make the computer think my usb thumb drive is not a mass storage device or is ther a way to disable the block…we use novell for the network and it is windows xp pro…..
- I do not want to have to use my camera….that is what I am currently doing…but it is much slower….I need a way to use my THUMB DRIVE…
- Sometimes a simple solution is right in front of your face. If the computer will see your camera and allow you access the pictures on it, then your simple solution would be, to use your computer place your files onto your computer's memory chip. You should be able to use your camera just like it's a thumb drive.
- sounds as if he locked out adding other hard drives. check the device manager, then chack com management (R glick on my comp then click manage. it migjh have the same drive letter, change that. if it isnt then it's in profoles. and unless you have admin right its bumpkis
