How can I install W98 bootfiles (only!) on a already with W2K equipped PC? (without bootmanager)?

And WITHOUT reinstalling W2K.

  1. And all on the C drive. So then I can add Novell odi files and fast boot to the Novell network via DOS(/W98 bootfiles) to ghost via the Novell network.
  2. At the first answer: that's not an answer.
    W2K will then be deleted!
    That's NOT an option.
  3. If you format the hard drive, use format c:\ /s, that will install the system files and boot into dos. Use a win98 cd to do this. I'm assuming you are deleting everything from the computer and are installing Novell only, if so then follow the above steps.
  4. Booting with diskette is a possibility, but that's always slow and they (diskettes) always break down.
  5. Normally, you'd have to install W98 first. But that's not an option (anymore) because I have to use someone else's ghost image.
