How do I remove novell from laptop?

bought used ibm thinkpad and I cant get past novell log in screen.[not stolen]

  1. Click "workstation only" and try logging in with:
    Username: user
    Password: user
Try different ones if that doesn't work. Once you get logged in, go to the control panel, then to Add/ Remove Programs. Find the Novell Client and uninstall. If your computer is a Windows XP Home, you can make your own account. Even if it is something else, like Windows XP Professional, you can still make an account. After you reboot prior to uninstalling Novell, the operating system will start up like it did before Novell was installed. Good luck, and I hope you can log in! I don't like Novell. Tried it out on my laptop to try to access my school server, and I couldn't. So I uninstalled, and everything's back to normal.
