I am planning to get novell's CLP certificate, anyone know what good free/non-free resources I can get online?
- I would definitely start with Novell's information to get on the right track.
CLP info http://www.novell.com/training/certinfo/…
CLP learning track http://www.novell.com/training/certinfo/…
Self Study bundle (pricey at almost $900) http://shop.novell.com/servlet/controlle…
Downloads for SuSe linux (server and desktop) http://download.novell.com/index.jsp?sou…
(Novell's download will probably be time limited)Here's OpenSuse for a totally free, unrestricted copy,
http://en.opensuse.org/welcome_to_opensu…From there, I would recommend reviewing the objectives and outlines of each course on Novell's CLP site http://www.novell.com/training/certinfo/…
Each of the course listings on the starting page include additional details for objectives and course outlines,
3070 - Upgrading to Certified Linux Professional 10 http://www.novell.com/training/coursewar…
3071 - SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Fundamentals http://www.novell.com/training/coursewar…
3072 - SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Administration http://www.novell.com/training/coursewar…
3073 - SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Advanced Administration http://www.novell.com/training/coursewar…When I was earning my CNE/MCNE's for various versions of NetWare, I had the most success by learning the objectives, practicing hands on with the OS, then reviewing the actual admin and user manuals.
Best wishes.
