I put another drive on my computer off another computer?
and now when I turn it on, the screen goes directly to novell system. I tried to download a windows xp cd to override it but it wouldn't work. I don't know how to override a password. Does anyone know how to override a passcode so I can use the computer?
- Do you still have the old drive? If so, just change the boot order in your bios so it boots from the old drive instead of the new one. This is usually done by hitting something like F12 on startup.
If you don't have the original drive, you can format the new drive and install the os of your choice on it. The easiest way to go about this would be to download a linux live cd. Most of these come with something called gparted on it. All you have to do is boot your computer up using the live cd. Next, launch gparted. You can now format the drive. Finally, install the os of your choice on it.
