I want to use Microsoft Outlook. We have Novell (Groupwise & WebAccess). I do not know the pop or smtp.?
I know the http address of the WebAccess portal, but I am not privy to the pop and smtp server names. Currently we have Groupwise as a client, and WebAccess for remote use. I'd like to use Outlook, which I have the ok for, and even the software (Office 2007). I tried setting it up as HTTP "other" with the URL (just an IP) and my user/pass - But I get header errors when trying to send/receive. I can allow Outlook to configure as Novell Groupwise Transport Provider instead of POP, HTTP, or IMAP - But then I can only recieve messages, and I get an error when trying to send (cannot send at all).
- IT support is not on-site and I have no idea how to contact the providers.
- Can't you talk to the IT department, and tell them you want to use Outlook so they can give you the info or set it up for you?
- You'll need to check with your Administrator about what the server address is before you can get yourself up and running. Otherwise it may not be possible.
