Is there any reason to spend the extra bucks for this?
Novell charges ~$60 for SuSe with support at:
- Finally, can I convert MS Word files into OpenOffice Writer files without losing too much formatting?
- On the same page, they offer the free download & I have blank DVD's.
- Thanks for your help.
- Just wondering if what they're offering - manuals, phone support, etc - can be found online, on the dvd's themselves etc, for free.
- By golly that last answer someone gave you was really explaining heaps to you almost a whole book ( not even ).
OK paid versions of linux normally come with a manual, extra software that you won't get as a standard in the free download, and more importantly the support.Open office can open MS word files and they don't act or look a hell ova lot different to tell the truth.
excellent support for the hardware you mention with the added bonus you will have support ( Paid version ) from suse so they will show you where to get drivers for anything that you need
- Also, how difficult is it to find drivers for new hardware like web-cams, USB\Bluetooth adapters, etc.
