I have read some posts about this but the one thing I want to know is. IF I uninstall cilent services for netware does it uninstall novell? I need novell to log into my school network so I still need novell installed. I just want to have the old welcome screen back. SO if I uninstall it will it stop me from logging into my school network through novell. Please answer!
- Yes, unfortunately if you uninstall client services for netware you will not be able to login to your school's novell based network system.
You can however reinstall it anytime.
Hope this helps,
Ken

- well then is there any other way for me to get back the old windows login screen?
- In order to access your schools network you should not try to remove the netware client. Depending on what version of novell your school uses and if the admins set it up correctly you may be able to use a webbrowser to access the schools file system. THIS IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY. Also, on very old versions of netware they used a propietary IPX protocol. It's a pain.
Newer versions of novell are, infact linux and will speak standard SMB (which windows speaks natively)
I'd definately suggest you not uninstalling the netware client if you wish to use your schools network.
- Novell uses IPX so you'll want to NOT uninstall that.
