What's the best enterprise-grade Linux distro next to Red Hat & Novell? For training use.?

you just named the two main ones when it comes to entreprise supported distribution.

get Fedora is you're going to use RHEL and OpenSuse if you're going to use Suse Linux Enterprise.

You have some choices:
1. Debian.
2. Ubuntu (based on debian)
3. Slackware.
