Has the license from 4 to 5 been changed so it is no longer open sourced ? There’s some information in the bug tracker [here](https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=911658) and [here](https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=912043) including a link to [this comment](https://github.com/mono/mono/issues/7445#issuecomment-409363281) on the upstream bugtracker. There was also [this tweet](https://twitter.com/directhex/status/1079754320164343809) a few days ago from one of the maintainers. Reply First, installing mono5 packages directly from upstream kinda works. Although it broke horribly on my Sid recently and I had to uninstall all of mono5. I’ll give it another try in a couple of months if I have time. Second- we need to find and donate some MIPS machines for Debian to play with. What are good options? Some routers seem to be using MIPS, I guess performance/$ is best on those? Any decent SOCs or server boards? Reply It’s a bit off subject, but… if you really need mono 5 and no less and you’re not planning to run a graphical application… you could just run it from a Docker container (well… technically you CAN run graphical apps from a Docker container, but it’s annoying to configure and not necessarily straightforward) Reply x.org/KDE do not start automatically any longer in SID HELP!
