  • If you're new to Ubuntu, hopefully this beginner's tutorial helps you with getting started with the operating system. More advanced videos covering the various Linux distros will be coming to this channel in the future… Thanks for watching 🙂

  • Like if you are somehow like me

    Has a okay PC that has windows for your main stuff.
    Has a crappy celeron or 1st gen processors on a laptop.

  • Whenever I update or upgrade my Ubuntu, I face problem. When I update and upgrade Ubuntu, after that when I shutdown and open my laptop again, It will always restart again and again. Then I can't use it and I have reinstall Ubuntu again.

  • I honestly wouldn’t mind using Linux if every Windows program just worked. I don’t want to go around dealing with setting up things with like wine to hope that it will work. I use Windows because I know it and pretty much everything I use works on it. However, I can say that Ubuntu is a pretty good Linux distribution. I have used it in the past and found the OS itself pretty good. I’d pick it over MacOS or Chrome OS any day. I’ve just used Windows since such a young age that it has basically engrained itself into my brain with how to use it.

  • I need help. When I try to download apps from the ubuntu software application im not allowed to for some reason. Anyone know why?

  • Don't waste your time on this OS, unless you can handle frustrations after frustrations. It is probably why Ubuntu never caught up Windows on desktop market.

  • Great video. Im new to Ubantu. Are all windows applications compatible with Unantu? For example photoshop?

  • Windows has always been a nightmare for me. Mac is ok for me. But this seems even better. Thx for the video.

  • I just switched from Windows 10, and it's great! no more blue screens, viruses, and it looks 20x better then windows 10 🙂 no more crazy updates with 10 every few moments. No randomly deleting files, or uninstalling software because the os feels like it like no more crazy 10,, Linux is not for everyone but if you can use it for what your needs are, its worth it, and for my needs… It works great! And this 18.10 looks really nice too!

  • I don't care whether gnome is gnu it should never be pronounced guh-nome, as it just makes you sound stupid

  • Why does the launch applications thing have to cover the whole screen? It's really useless because you're losing focus with whatever you are doing.

  • Also, give an epilepsy warning in the titles of the videos, if you're going to flash shit every 5 seconds.

  • hey omg ubuntu can you please make windows wifi drivers work on ubuntu . i got this $1200 hp pavilion and windows 10 is making me angery can i just move back to good ubuntu

  • I am using mx linux just because it handles the whole system only on 500MB ram but gnome takes a lot of RAM and also in ubuntu 18.04 there were heating issues which were resolved and battery drain issue was also resolved in 18.10;
    sometimes gnome uses even 4/8 GB of RAM which is more then enough
    but in mx linux I gave 4gb to virtualbox to run windows 7 and it runs quite well here/……
