Hello everyone,

So I have been told that this mouse is like THE mouse to use now days, the Logitech MX Master (2 I think). 😀

I understand why seeing as on Windows and Mac I can change several things to make it a productivity dream. Eg. I can hold down the thumb button and swipe in different directions to call different functions etc.

Before I spend any money on a new mouse, I would love to know if there is any kind of software that let’s me do this kind of set-up for Ubuntu? Ubuntu is my main OS at home, and I would love to be able to use all these gestures to (as an example), switch between different desktops and such things.

Does anyone here have any experience with this and knows if this is possible to do?

Thanks in advance,
Tobias

  • I haven’t ever pursued it further than switching between laptops with the bluetooth which was fine for me, I am more command line orientated these days. It is a good mouse but from what I gather gestures can’t be done, you can remap the buttons a bit but it doesn’t give you a giant selection.

It is a very nice mouse, I have the MX Master 2S, nice to use, good battery, can be used on any surface. My next step is to upgrade the mechanical keyboard to one I can program and with that and this mouse I should have a grand old time.
