  • Well from Linux I would expect a good gaming experience because couldn't you customize it to the point where it's meant for gaming?

  • Dude, Linus you should use Linux Mint Uses the same Ubuntu repositories but seems to run waay, waaay better, you should check your stability in that before you call it a complete failure. I experienced lagg on the Ubuntu desktop, if that tells you anything, and I believe that Mint has been much more stable as an OS as well.

  • just dual boot, 1tb of windows, 1 tb of linux, i only have steam and emulators on windows, and i themed my linux mint as a windows 7, lel

  • Ubuntu has a graphical utility for installing Nvidia proprietary drivers. Don't need to run any command.

  • Linux never did suck lol, just people too lazy to learn a new system thought it sucked…I maaayyyyy be a lil bias.

  • Thinking about going with Linux when I build my new gaming PC.. at the very least, this current PC will get it and become my dedicated streaming PC.

  • Forcequitting stuff is supposed to be easy , but you use the Unity interface , which is really bad , on xfce you have shortcut to forcequit any program , also you can enable the magic keys , which are really powerful shortcut , but pretty dangerous if misused.

  • Come on 390.48 was not okay in september last year. It was awfully outdated. You could have installed 396.54 and performance in some games would have been a lot better
