It’s not a bug if you call it a feature. Reply Looks nice though xD Reply Fix coming soon. Expect backports to all supoorted Ubuntu versions. https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/merge_requests/600 Reply It is known problem with Nvidia. In kde I don’t have anymore the problem they have fixed this bug with an update in Qt I think. But in gnome the problem is here, i don’t know if the gnome devs plans to do something to fix this .In kde after sleep Kwin restarts the desktop effects and all are normal. You can’t do anything but you can restart the shell alt+F2 and the type R, or change your wallpaper I know it is not a solution. Reply It’s an issue with the Nvidia drivers when paired with gnome 3, no issues on KDE or MATE etc. Reply hit alt+f2 and type ‘r’ hit enter to relaod gnome shell, Reply I imagine this is a GPU issue, because nvidia drivers are horrible and I haven’t experienced this with other systems. It’s also only an issue when the background image adjustment setting in gnome tweaks is set to something which scales the image (scaled, spanned, stretched, zoom), not when using the settings which just move the image around; I imagine the scaling might be doing some weird OpenGL stuff. Does anyone have any ideas if there are workarounds, or at least if there are any issue threads about it somewhere? I used to have some graphical issues in KDE until I made the compositor use a different version of OpenGL; are there similar settings for Mutter? Reply Someone’s been to Edinburgh recently 🙂 Reply The same, but the wallpaper gets totally in some b&w lines and it’s horrible. Reply Nice wallpaper bro Reply Ah the joys of Gnome 3. No such issue here running Ubuntu Mate and Nvidia hardware/drivers. Reply Looks like some kind of artwork from afar. Reply Why is your dock on the right though? I’m not trying to be rude, I’m just genuinely curious if there’s something about your workflow where that position makes more sense. Reply Ubuntu’s kernel does not have nvidia support (as far as I know…) I have only seen updates in the support for amd . Maybe that’s what is preventing your wallpaper to load properly Reply Get to know these 5 Ubuntu community resources Zorin OS 15, la distro Linux basada en Ubuntu e integrada con Android ideal para… Comment Share This!
