Is anybody using Linux on a Dell Latitude D620?
Hi, I just got a Latitude D620 with Duo Core processor. Ive been asked to install Linux on it. Not sure which distro to try. If anyone has any experience with a particular distro being installed on a Dell D620, I'd certainly appreciate knowing which distro you used, and what worked with out of the box (or with minimal reconfiguration).
- Also, if you had to do a special reconfiguration or download a driver, please let me know if you can.
- Im basically looking for the most trouble free install to get basic functionallity working. Looking to use it for basic linux programming (C, forks, processes & stuff)
- I don't have that particular model, but I've found Dell hardware to be pretty Linux-friendly in the past (at least when installing Red Hat). But here are some links that might help you…
