My friend put Linux on my computer. I think he got it from his job. I get junk mail like male inhancement pills and such. When I try to contact them to stop the mail I get denied for weighted pharse because of the block that is on it. I guess the block comes from his job. He works at a office. Is there anything that I can do? I am very computer eliterrit but plan on buying a new computer with windows. This computer had windows when it was gave to me but I never got a chance to work with it before he installed Linux. What would you advise as a good computer for a begginer and is there any hope for this Linux program?

1. as for the email, mark it as spam and DONT OPEN OR TRY TO CONTACT THEM,to remove your email from there list. as this is how they know they have found an email address that is an operating email. then they share it with other spammers and then it just keeps comming.there is no block as the remove your name from mailing list does not work because they only want to know they found a good email address.and as for a good pc for a beginer.there are many good pc's for you.acer,dell,gateway,compact. the most inportant thing is to get one with atleast 512 mb memory or more if can afford,160g's hard drive or more.then you will have enough ram and hard drive to last while you are learning to use the pc.then can expand to larger capascitys on next pc.
