Can I download redhat enterprise linux as free?

  1. No…Enterprise they charge for. Fedora Core 6 (latest one) is free and is much cooler IMO. And if you connect the computer with it installed to the internet, the OS will download and install any updates automatically. All the neat stuff is in Fedora.
  2. Not legally. They offer their http://fedora.redhat.com freely.
  3. No, but you can get Fedora for free. That's the same basic package but without any support. Or you CAN get the source code and compile it yourself for free. If you're a Linux geek, go for it!
