1. NOTE: I already have Mozilla on my machine. I can find no resource, no discussion threads…nothing which will allow me to install a video plugin and a MacroMedia FLASH plugin. There are only vague references. Again, I'm a complete Linux neophyte (who is disgusted with Microsoft, and rapidly becoming disgusted with Linux as well).

3. Done that, been there, got sick of it, and I'm back with IE and windows..
   any way .. see the link below.
   flash takes a while to install/work .. as for video "wmv" it takes quit a bit longer to figure out, but it'll eventually work "within a month or so of research .. trial .. and error".
4. its just easy to install MF in linux just install the mozilla firefox using the product key given then use the google for more results
