How can I install both windows xp and red hat linux on a single pc?

  1. If you need help with anything regarding a particular Linux distribution, it's best to check out your particular Linux distribution's forums and ask there.
I've provided a link below to get you started.
If you haven't installed XP yet, you should install that first. Linux comes with a boot program called LILO which lets you select which operating system you want to boot, so booting Linux or XP is easy.
Make sure you have free space or empty partitions on one of your hard drives so that the Red Hat installation program can create Linux partitions for you. Having seperate Linux partitions is better than making use of one of your Windows partitions.

  3. Follow the setup instructions when Booting from the REDHAT cd.
It will give you option for Additional Partition so choose it and it will install Redhat.
Be careful, read carefully and follow

    Answer: Yes you can

    Good luck
