How to activate scroll button in Mozilla browser on Linux ?

I'm running RedHat Linux, and installed Mozilla browser.

Why is the scroll button not working on the browser?
I believe you have to turn on autoscrolling by going to Edit->Preferences.
Go to Advanced Settings, and click on the Use Autoscrolling checkbox.
How do I activate it?
I lost mine once when trying a newer version of Mozilla.
went back to earlier version,no problem.
