I want to setup internet connection on my Redhat Linux OS. and also unable to play any media files on LINUX?
- To Play Media
Download Real Player For Linux
Site address is real.com
After Downloding upgrade it with real.com
to get the latest Patch
(I guess real guys had done it already but don't too much rely on Better idea to download)
Don't forget the install the nessary Halix Player before installing real otherwise wont workTo Setup internet connection you need to tell which type of connection you are making
Anyway I guess you are a nebie
Best Suggestion :>> HIRE PROFESSIONALS
Suggestion# 2 for Geeks kppp will help you to setup the ConnectionNote if you are installing Somewhat internal modem you need to configure it first. But the problem is our modem Manufacturing companies are not serious enough for making installer/patches
for linux based distro.cause They Don't know or Something different.Anyway Standard External modem will work Best (COST 3 times then local internal modem >> Best BUY DLINK )
if you are configuring a Broadband Modem (BSNL Based )
Best Suggestion >>> HIRE PROFESSIONAL
or if you want to poke your mind then simply Make your own installer (You need to build yourself )Don't Rely on AIRTELL CUSTOMER CARE TO Get your answer.
Sorry to say you but the Largest Customer Base Company (BSNL Don't have a single support eng that could configure Broadband Modem)
The Case remains same for Relience/Airtell and so on
Poor Chaps!
YOU HAD TO DO IT YOURSELF OR SOME GEEKS HELPI guess it will help you
Regards
Alok Tiwari - Well, you need to download some software for playing media and also some drivers to get your internet working. I think some Googling will help you…
- first of all you have to identify the modem and sound card. if you have widows in your system then you can easily identify them on device manager. then go to maker website or use google to download the apropriate driver for that.
