Installing Windows Operating System?
I've a 40GB hard disk which is completely used for Red Hat Linux Enterprise Edition . I need to format the hard disk and install Windows XP into it. But unfortunately, whenever I do so, it seems that the setup process gets terminated because windows files cant be extracted in a disk which has no space for ntfs.
- How can I remove the Linux File System from my Hard Disk so that Windows can be installed again ?
- You have to use a partition program, like Partition Magic, or Fdisk which is included with Windows.
During the setup process there are options for the partitions, choose to delete the partitions and create a new one (NTFS). Proceed to install Windows.
- Delete the partitions and format the drive as NTFS from the setup screens before selecting setup.
