Is the Sata hard disk support red hat linux 4 or fedora 4 OS ?

1. SATA hardisk differs from the normal harddisk in two ways.

   01. The SATA HDD runs at a higher speed (Normallay 7200 RPM) whereas the other HDD runs normally at 5400 RPM.

   02. The data cable connectibity in SATA is different from PATA.

   This is no way connected with installation of operating system. So the conclusion is that Red hat Linux 4 will perfectly work with SATA HDD.
