Redhat Linux RPM installation problem?

When tries installing rpms on my redhat linux3 (Taroon) its saying that mnt/cdrom is not a valid installation tree . So that I cannot install any progs. Can anyone tell me how to deal with it?

Copy the files over to your hard drive and install from there.
