SATA Hard drive & Linux?
I have a 160 GB SATA Hard Drive and am looking to install Linux. I tried Red Hat Linux 9.0, but could not do so. It doesn't have the requisite driver. Can anyone suggest any version of Linux which could be installed on SATA Hard drive. I want to use linux for Java Development.
- I have run into the same problem. Have had best luck with Fedora and Ubuntu.
- The SATA driver must be supplied with your motherboard onto a floppy disk,,,during installation,, you must be asked to put the floppy with SATA driver,,, this what happened in windows,, and I assumed that this must occur in linux too
