Where shall I get Red Hat Linux 9 cd free in Andhra Pradesh-any friend on internet can you help me by sending?

  1. Red Hat 9 is obsolete, you'll be lucky to find an iso anywhere to download. Have you tried Fedora?
A couple of years ago Red Hat decided to provide a community version of it's Linux operating system and a commercial version with dedicated support, Red Hat Enterprise Linux is the commercial version and Fedora Core is the community version.

The current version Fedora Core 6 is excellent, I use it myself. Available to download from -

  2. I'm not sure about Red Hat, but I've had great success with Mepis 6.0. I am running it now on my old laptop. Its a free download, and you can burn it onto a disc, then install it on your computer. And it has a neat little GRUB loader that lets you dual boot Windows and Linux. Works great with me.
