Which is the latest in Linux…..Redhat 10 or Ubuntu?
- RedHat 10 doesn't exist. So that would be "Ubuntu".
Ubuntu 7.04 was released in the middle of March
Fedora 6 was released last October
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 was released in the middle of March - After RedHat 9…Red Hat branched their Linux projects into two branches….one for the community called Fedora with a 6 month release cycle and Red Hat Enterprise Linux with a release cycle of 18 months.
So after Red Hat 9 these are the versions that got released:
Fedora 1->2->3->4->5->6 (and now 7 on May 31st)
RHEL 1->2->3->4->5 - Definitely Ubuntu. It's definitely cooler than previous versions with nifty features added in.
- RedHat 10 ? There is no RH 10. Fedora is in some way the RH 10 you're talking about.
Fedora 7 will be out soon, and latest ubuntu is 7.04 (7 -> 2007 ; 04 -> april)
- right, redhat 10…hmm
Ubuntu 7.04 is the newest (of any distro I've seen in the last few weeks, anyways.)
