Why is Server #2 better?
am condensing two websites in to one. Can you tell me which server would be better, and could have higher traffic volume?
- How much of a difference are they in capability?
- The newer versions of the software are probably more secure. This would make a better server. Remove the FrontPage compatibility for even more security.
- or server #2
- Thanks
- server 2 is better if you care about modperl.
my server is
Apache/2.2.4 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.4 OpenSSL/0.9.7l DAV/2 PHP/5.2.1 mod_perl/2.0.3 Perl/v5.8.6it fits my needs!
I'd still go with #1, if I could have mod perl too!
- server #1
- Apache/1.3.27 (Unix) (Red-Hat/Linux) FrontPage/5.0.2.2623 mod_python/2.7.8 Python/1.5.2 mod_ssl/2.8.12 OpenSSL/0.9.6b DAV/1.0.3 PHP/4.3.11 mod_perl/1.26 mod_webapp/1.2.0-dev
