Is the Linksys WRT54G router compatible with a Linux operating system?

Basically, I am using Mandriva as a partitoned Linux distro. This router works fine in Win XP, but I dont know where to find the drivers to install it for Linux… I am kind of new to Linux, so thorough instructions to setting up the router in Linux would be greatly appreciated.

Linux server as a router?

I have two network cards on my linux server. one I use to connect to the internet, and the other is for nothing. Is it possible that I could use the other NIC to assing an IP address to my router to be able to connect other pcs to the internet. Preety much, the server acting like a router, except it has only one port.

How can I establish a secure connection using SSH between a server and a router Cisco?

I'll have an application running in Linux Server, and I'll have to establish a secure connection between both for to encrypt the information trough the tunnel.
