How do I add a linux /dev/ttyS2 to Suse linux for wacom tabletpc operation? The kernel module is wacom0.?

There is only /dev/ttyS0 and /dev/ttyS1 for port to use. I am trying to get a Mobile Computing M1400 to work with Suse version 10.1 Some say that I have to have a port named wacom0? I guess I have to activate wacom touchscreen with enabled pens? Do I have to edit the /etc/x11 conf file? Thanks, Scott

  1. The mknod command would be used to create /dev/ttyS2 manually, but if it doesn't already exists there's a good chance the port wasn't recognized, and it probably wouldn't work to just add the device file.

ttySx device files refer to serial ports. Do you have 3 ports on your machine?

I don't see how the X11 config file could have anything to do with it.

I can't help with specific details, I've never used Suse or a Wacom.
