I am installing suse linux 9.2 OEM edition on virtual PC 2004. I get an error: Kernel panic. How do I bypass?
PC: Hp-Compaq dx6120
- RAM 512 MB
- Processor: Intel PIV 2896Mhz
- What is the kernel panic's error message? Kernel panic's don't occur too often with new installs, so it's probably something pretty important.
You might consider giving openSuSE 10.1 a try. It might have kernel updates that let it work from within a Virt PC environment.
Hope this helps!
- Virtual environment: VHD-10GB, VRAM-128mb
- HDD: SATA 80GB
- O/S: Windows XP SP2
