It problem when I try to install SUSE Linux. pls help !?

I try to install SUSE Linux 10.1 installation iso DVD.But in the Installation Setting step at the "Software" headline there some Error like this.

  1. No Source Found at 'cd:///;device=/dev/hdc,/sr0'
  2. try to run installation using another installation dvd.
  3. First make sure you are downloading directly from Open SUSE http://en.opensuse.org/released_version…
Try downloading and burning another DVD at slowest possible burn speed (4-8x), and verify the write, if that option is available in your burning software. Also the download may have become corrupted along the way somewhere (verify the MD5 checksum to make sure) Make SURE you choose the right download for your specific architecture (eg x86, x86-64,PPC, etc)
There is also an internet installation option (not recommended for beginners)

The other option would be to download and burn the distro as 6 cd's rather than 1 dvd, again make sure and verify those MD5 checksums to make sure your download has not been corrupted/ tampered with : ). And verify the integrity of the burn, if possible.

Finally it could be a physical problem, as simple as cleaning the lens in the DVD/CD drive.

  4. What it mean? and How to fix it?
  5. So I can't continue installation.
  6. ERROR : No proposal.
